Today we got up at 6:15 and went downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast we walked over to Stipes to start our "math lesson." We started out by making Venn Diagrams with a partner. We talked about our likes and dislikes. After working on Venn Diagrams we got to know our partner very well. Then, we learned abut a fast mathematican named Emilie du Chatelet. She was a French mathematican that was a woman. She used to stay up all night working on math. After learning about Emilie we started working with Stories with Holes. These are stories in which you need to figure out what is REALLY going on in the story. Next, we learned about calculators. We worked with a calculator call the TI 73. It was really cool. Then, we worked with Tessellations. Tesselations are pictures made up of shpes. In these pictures the shapes fit in like pussle pieces. There are no spaces at all in these pictures. Soon after we started to make our own Tesselations. Later Today we are going to hear from a mean about Ploynomiography. Tonight we are going to go Bowling and tonight is Movie Night.

We started our day very early again today at 6:15. We at breakfast and walked over to Stipes like we did yesterday. Once we got to Stipes we started our "Math Lessons" off with a Story With Holes. They were very chanenging. After we figured out our story we learned about Fibonacci and the Golden Ratio. That was very interesting. After breaking for snack we learned about Pascal's Triangle. We also learned about Pascal, a famous mathematican. Soon after learning about Pascal and his triangle we used Algebra Tiles to solve expressions. After Lunch we walked over to Morgan Hall and made 3-D shapes and Polyhedrons. After this we are going back to Thompson for Arts and Crafts. Then we are going swimming and tonight is Game Night.

Again today we started our day at 6:15. After eating breakfast we walked over to Stipes and started our day off with learning about a famous female mathematican named Ada Byron Lovelace. She was the first person to fully understand computers. Then again today we figured out Stories With Holes. Then we learned about Fractal Geometry which include things like similar polygons. After snack time we learned about codes and ciphers. Then we ate lunch and walked over to Morgan to learn how to make a a Tetrahedral Kite. Tonight we are making crafts and going swimming again and probably watching a movie again.

Today we woke up at 6:15. We went to breakfast and then walked over to Stipes. We llearned about a mathematican named Grace Chisholm Young. She was the first woman in Gremany to recieve her PHD. Then again we figured out some Stories With Holes. We played Mastermind and learned about Pattern Recognition. After that we leanred about how Pascal's Triangle relates to the Christmas carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas. After snack we made Origami Chirstmas Ornaments. Then we voted on whose polynomiography images we liked the best. Later we are going to the bookstore and we are singing Karaoke tonight!!
