This is my first year at Girls Plus Math Camp, and I'm having a great time! Yesterday we came, and unpacked. My room mate and I completely covered our walls with pictures of celeberties. We got to hang out and talk. The movie was Grease, but I didn't watch it.
Today, we woke up at 6:15, and I was freezing! The breakfast was great, I love where we get our food.
We learned about Emilie du Chatelet. She wanted to learn about science and mathamatics. She did not talk with her mother that much because her mother did not support her want to learn about science and mathamatics. She would only sleep for two to four hours, and spent the time she was not  sleeping, studing. Students would come to her house, even in the late hours, to study with her.

Today we worked on the Golden Ratio. I like working on that because I worked on it with my dad also, and memorized 1.6180339887499. The Golden Ratio is also known as the Golden Mean and Phi. To learn more about the Gold Ratio, click on the Golden Ratio link.

We worked on Pascal's triangle. I learned a lot about Pascal's triangle with my dad, but it was cool to take another look at it. I also learned some new things about Pascal's triangle too, to learn more about Pascal's triangle, click on the Pascal's Triangle link.

We also worked on codes and decoding them. Those are going to come in handy for myself and my friends, because then people won't be able to read our notes.
We made Tetrahedral Kites. Mine is pink and blue. It is made out of string, colored tissue paper, and straws. It looks like four tetraderons.
