Well today, (July 16) we talked about the famous woman mathematicin Emilie du Chatelet. We also talked about venn diagrams and made about 8 of them. Most people were in a group of three but I was in a group of two (Molly and I) After we did

Tessalations and made some wich are hanging up now in room 501.in about 20 min Dr.Iraj Kalantari is coming in to tell us about polynomiography! I hope its cool!

Today (July 17) when I got  out of bed I wished that I got more sleep. We had breakfast and went to stipes 501.Today we learned about Fibonacci

and his pattern. Although I already knew about him I did learn some new things.I didn't know that he was so popular!  Then  we learned about Pascal's triangle and how it works. We also got to make 3-D shapes and filled out packets on number of faces,number of vertices and number of edges.

I cant beleive it's our last full day at math camp I mean sure it's only 5 days but it didn't seem like it!

this morning we did alittle more on codes and played Mastermind. After we did origami and made a...a...well i don't exactly know what we made it looks like a spikey ball, sorta.Well i hope every body had tons of fun at math camp!

My Polynomiography

Wow, today (July 18) was jampacked with coolness!

We did a little more thinking on Pascal's triangle  (the one on the front of our T-shirts and is made up with only triangles) and made one that is also hanging on that wall. We did some more on  probabilaty too. After lunch of fried chicken and mashed patatoes, we came to Morgan 224 and each made a Tetrahedral kite! We also learned some about Aexander Grahm Bell (the guy who made the telephone and the tetrahdral kite).
