Today, the 16th, at camp we worked on tessellations. We made some on paper and then some on the computer. I liked doing it on the computer better because we could make more in less time. Plus, we worked with the calculators and used things involving probability. We also got into groups of three and made a Venn Diagram with things about ourselves. We did something with estimation too. We estimated the perimeter of a WIU pendant and Jaime was the closest so she won it. For lunch we had sandwiches and for breakfast we had eggs, bacon, and much else. We also talked about a famous woman mathematician, Emilie du Châtelet.
Today, the 17th, at camp we did estimation and we had to guess the square inches of a poster. Alexandria won it. Then we learned about Fibonacci and the Golden Ratio. Then we learned about Pascal's Triangle. Then later we used Algebra tiles. Last, we worked with the polyhedrons and put together geometric shapes.
Today is the 18th of July, my birthday, we worked on building a kite, fractal geometry, probability, and statistics. Also we worked on decoding messages. I also got cards from my parents and grandparents last night. Today we had chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy for lunch.
Today is the last full day of camp. We did alot of stuff today and I really don't have time to list it all but I learned alot at this camp and I had alot of fun!!!!
